Embark on a cosmic journey through space and time as you explore the fundamental concepts of astrophysics and learn about the mysteries of the universe. This 4-week online course will cover topics such as the history of astrophysics, the solar system, stars and galaxies, and the origins of the universe. Students will engage in interactive activities, discussions, and hands-on experiments to deepen their understanding of the universe.

What will your child learn in this course?

History of astrophysics, basic concepts and terminology in astrophysics and an introduction to the night sky and constellations.
The formation and evolution of the solar system, the sun, planets, moons, and other bodies in our solar system.
Exploring space missions to study the solar system
The life cycle of stars, types of galaxies and their formations, black holes, supernovae, and other cosmic phenomena.
The Big Bang and the Future of the Universe, Origins of the Universe, Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and the Fate of the Universe
Closing thoughts and reflections on what we have learned
